High-definition is only useful when the Reel still looks good on the device where you will watch it. Check the source and permission first, then inspect the saved copy at normal phone size. A large label cannot repair a soft original.
Check the original frame
Pause on a face, caption, or fine pattern and compare it with the saved file. Keep a portrait Reel in its original shape. Cropping the top or bottom can remove subtitles and creator information.
Run the phone test
- Play the opening and final seconds.
- Listen through a talking section.
- Check a caption-heavy moment.
- Rotate the phone and confirm orientation.
- Compare the duration with the source.
If the local file is clear but a messaging app makes it blurry, the later share caused the loss. Send the original file or adjust the destination app’s media settings instead of downloading again.
Keep permission with the file
Save your own videos, licensed material, or content the creator has allowed you to keep. Do not remove attribution when reposting. Use the Instagram platform guide for public-link checks and the Reels troubleshooting guide for access problems.
Use Solution Hub
Paste a supported public link into the analyzer, review the formats detected from the source, and choose the option that fits your device. Solution Hub does not require an account for the basic link-analysis flow.
